Climate Edge Law Group (CELG) is a legal practice providing client services through itself as a California professional corporation as well as other firms and affiliates (Member Firms) which have contracted with CELG.  When we refer to the Climate Edge Law Group or the "firm," we are referring to CELG as well as our Member Firms.  Any reference to a "partner" means a partner, member, consultant, or employee with equivalent standing and qualifications in CELG or a Member Firm.  Any reference to a “location” means any office, virtual office or location of work performed by CELG or a Member Firm. 

Under the contracts between CELG and the Member Firms, CELG and the applicable Member Firm are jointly responsible for the representation of each client.  We maintain a uniform conflicts database and for conflicts purposes treat all clients as a client of CELG and all Member Firms.  From the fees paid to CELG, CELG pays each Member Firm an internal rate for attorney and paralegal time. Internal referral fees of up to 20% of the collected amounts are paid among CELG and the Member Firms based on contributions to developing and expanding new and existing client relationships.  This payment structure does not impact the fees charged to our clients.  For all client-related purposes, CELG and its Member Firms operate as a single law firm.

Fraud Alert

CELG takes fraud and information security seriously.  CELG operates under only one domain name (celawgroup.com) and the website domain www.climateedgelaw.com links to that same site.  Please notify us immediately at admin@celawgroup.com or your representing attorney if you receive any email purporting to be from us that comes from any other domain. 

Security

CELG takes the security of our clients’ data seriously.  We adopt and require our Member Firms to adopt industry best practices wherever possible, regularly review our security procedures, and also provide training in order to protect against phishing or similar attacks which could lead to such data leaks.  However, because the transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted and any transmission is at your own risk.  We use reasonable efforts to ensure our website is free of malicious code, but we cannot guarantee that it is free of malicious code and we do not accept any responsibility for any damage or loss caused by any such code.  If you have any concerns over whether information you have delivered to or received from us is not secure, is malicious or otherwise concerning, please notify us immediately at admin@celawgroup.com or your representing attorney.

No Lawyer-Client Relationship

Contacting us through this website does not give rise to a lawyer-client relationship.  Please do not consider there to be any lawyer-client relationship between you and CELG, its Member Firms or any of their lawyers unless or until: (i) you have sought to retain us; (ii) we have had an opportunity to check and clear any conflicts; and (iii) you have received a letter from us confirming the retention and its scope.  If you contact us and do not receive a written engagement, we have elected to not represent you as a client.

Privacy

We do not collect personal information about you through our website.  Our hosting service collects information concerning your geography, traffic sources and other basic analytics data.  We do not sell any data collected through the website or otherwise disclose it to third parties for marketing purposes. You have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.  Any communications regarding the CCPA should be directed to admin@celawgroup.com.
